College Interns

makenna sisson - Univeristy of south florida

Makenna is a junior at the University of South Florida majoring in accounting. She loves to read and play video games. Makenna chose the pantry to serve her local community and have an opportunity to help those in her area.

BiANCA BURGOS - florida state university

Bianca is a Junior at Florida State University. She is currently studying Business Management and has been volunteering at the food pantry since high school! In her free time, she loves to drive around with her friends and find new things to do in the area. The food pantry has always been a second home to her and she loves knowing how much of an impact we can make as a community.

Max ng - UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH FLORIDA

Max is a Freshman at University of South Florida. He enjoys playing soccer and hanging out with friends and family. He loves participating at the pantry because it’s a great way for him to meet new people and help give to the community.

HIGH SCHOOL INTERNS

Megan Menendez

Megan is a rising senior at Steinbrenner High School. At school, she is involved in NHS, BETA, and she is an editor on the Oracle. In her free time, she likes to hang out with her friends and read. She loves volunteering at the pantry because she gets to help others in her community who are in need.

asher healy

Asher is a rising senior at Sickles High School and is a member of the varsity soccer team, officer of NHS, and officer of FBLA. He likes playing soccer and hanging out with his friends. His favorite food is sushi.

Madison Ratchford

Madison is a rising senior at Academy of the Holy Names. She has been an intern for three rounds and absolutely adores it. Every time, she learns to love volunteering more and how important the direct impact has on the community! When she is not at the pantry, she enjoys working out and is part of a swim team. She can't wait for the rest of the summer and the mark it makes on the community.

Kassidy Siddall

Kassidy is a rising senior at Tampa Catholic High School, where she is the president of the ASL Club. Her favorite things to do are kayaking, gardening, and making jewelry. Her favorite food would be bbq. She originally chose the pantry to gain experience however she continues to come back for her friends and community.

Audrey is a rising junior at Academy at the Lakes. She is a swimmer, artist, and participate in Odyssey of the Mind. She loves to draw, play video games, and hang out with her family and friends. If she had to choose her favorite food, it would be ice cream and YES, that counts! She chose the Community Food Pantry because she loves to make a difference in our community and give back to those in need of a helping hand.

Lily is a rising senior at Steinbrenner High School. She is involved in the Steinbrenner Unity Club, BETA Club, National Honor Society, National Society of High School Scholars and she is an officer in the ESports Club. In her free time, she likes to hang out with friends, watch movies, and make art. She loves volunteering at the pantry because she gets to meet many new people and serve her local community.

olivia montgomery

Olivia is a rising senior at Steinbrenner High School. At school she’s an editor the newspaper, and a member of NHS and Letters of Hope. In her free time, she’s a competitive dancer and hangs out with friends. She chose to intern at the pantry because she enjoys giving back to her community and those in need.

lauren harbour

Lauren is a rising junior at Steinbrenner High School. She is a singer songwriter who finds joy in helping others. Lauren has always had a passion for helping those in need through volunteering at her church and serving the greater Tampa Bay community. Her empathy and gratitude shine through as she volunteers.

Sofia is a rising junior at Tampa Catholic High School. She is a BEST club officer, student ambassador, and FBLA member. She plays lacrosse for Tampa Catholic and for Palms Lacrosse. She loves to read, hang out with friends, cook, and travel. She likes working in the food pantry because it brings her joy seeing the impact we make on others’ lives.

Simon is a rising freshman at Steinbrenner High School. He is from Colombia and he loves to play basketball. He wanted to come to the food pantry to help those that need it and especially Hispanics when the staff needs help translating.

Baolan is a rising junior at Sickles High School. She loves running and cooking. In her free time, she loves to hang out with her friends. She is the president of the Environmental Club for the next two years and is in NHS and the SAVE Club. She chose the food pantry because she loves giving back to the community whether its volunteering her time or donating.

Blake wedgzyn

Blake is a rising senior at Steinbrenner High School. He is a member of National Honor Society, Letters of Hope club, and Environmental club. He has been playing tennis for 13 years and He’s been on the Varsity tennis team each year of high school. He chose to become an intern at the Community Food Pantry because he is passionate about helping people in need.

zaina khan

Zaina is a rising junior at Steinbrenner High School. She is the secrrtary of Interact Club, a member of NSHSS, and a black belt in Karate. She is also a part of NHS, Beta, Spanish Honor Society, and HOSA. She loves playing soccer, reading, dedicating time to academics, and spending time with family and friends. But above all, she loves giving back to her community. She prioritizes giving to others, and helping them, as she believes their need is greater than our own. It gives her so much joy to know that by dedicating a litle bit of her time, she has made a difference in the community around her. She admires the atmosphere and the mission of the Community Food Pantry, and is honored to be a part of it.

david stedje

David is a rising junior at Steinbrenner High School and plays soccer. He enjoys the outdoors, boating, swimming, and riding motorcycles. He’s lived in Lutz his whole life but enjoys traveling around the country.

austen dufault

Austen is a rising Junior at Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate High School. He is a part-time worker at Panera and he enjoys playing hockey and soccer. He likes to volunteer at the pantry because he wants to leave a smile on the faces of those who are struggling in the community.
