Bags of Hope was founded in 2018 by three high school juniors with the mission to assist the homeless population by providing basic toiletries. Their initiative offers dignity and hope to individuals and families in need. The outreach extends beyond the homeless community to anyone requiring support.

Each bag contains: body wash or soap, a toothbrush, toothpaste, and a source of protein. In addition, they include a variety of other essential items as available, such as travel-sized shampoo, conditioner, Q-tips, lotion, deodorant, floss, or any small toiletry product.

Perhaps the most important item in a BAG OF HOPE is the "hope" it offers. Beyond food, these bags include a carefully prepared list of local resources designed to connect individuals with essential services. This list typically features contacts for emergency shelter, food assistance programs, mental health crisis support, and other vital community resources. By providing this information, the BAG OF HOPE serves not only as immediate relief but also as a bridge to long-term support and stability.
